Ashton’s Place Immersive Learners
“Immersive Learners” evokes the idea of individuals who deeply engage and fully involve themselves in the learning process. It suggests a learning approach that goes beyond traditional, passive learning methods and encourages active participation, exploration, and real-world experiences.
When we use “Immersive Learners” in the context of our education and care service, it implies that we place a strong emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning. Children are encouraged to immerse themselves in various threads of enquiry, environments, and experiences, which can include interactive play, experiments, exploration of nature, and creative projects.
Overall, “Immersive Learners” is a dynamic and engaging educational approach where children are actively involved in their learning journey, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the experiences or skills being supported.
At Ashton’s Place Immersive Learners we are committed to language rich environments with responsive adults as a priority, and we are committed to providing families and educators with the tools and skills required to ensure that children are nurtured in environments, that will support them in their development. Ashton’s Place Immersive Learners is a place where children, families and educators feel a strong sense of belonging and have the freedom to become successful, competent and capable learners with opportunities to contribute to their world in meaningful ways. Fundamental to these elements is our commitment to build and support respect, equity, inclusion and diversity in our relationships with and between all children, families, educators and the broader community.
