Junior Kindergarten Studio

Our Junior Kindergarten Studio is for children aged 24 to 36 months old.

For children aged 24 to 36 months in an early childhood education and care environment, the following theorists and theories align with their developmental levels:

1. Lev Vygotsky: Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory continues to be relevant as children in this age group further develop their language skills, social interactions, and problem-solving abilities through interactions with others.
2. Jean Piaget: Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, specifically the preoperational stage, applies as children aged 2 to 3 start to engage in imaginative play, symbolic thinking, and more sophisticated language development.
3. Maria Montessori: Montessori’s educational approach emphasises hands-on learning, independence, and self-directed activities, which are beneficial for children in the 2 to 3-year-old age range as they explore their environment and develop skills at their own pace.

These theorists and theories offer valuable insights into the developmental progression and educational needs of children aged 24 to 36 months in an early childhood education and care setting.
